Nigerian dancehall artist Cynthia Morgan, now known as Madrina, is trending on X (formerly Twitter) after participating in the viral 30DaysRant Challenge.
Like many Nigerians on TikTok, the singer used the platform to voice her concerns about the country’s economic struggles. In her video, she appealed to the government, expressing dissatisfaction with the abrupt removal of fuel subsidies. She suggested a more gradual approach to ease the financial burden on citizens.
Madrina also urged Nigerians to engage the government through peaceful dialogue instead of solely venting frustrations on social media.
“The hardship under Tinubu is unbearable. I initially supported the subsidy removal, but now I’m feeling its harsh effects. It’s overwhelming,” she lamented.
The 30DaysRant Challenge began as a personal expression by a viral NYSC member, Raye, but has since gained momentum, evolving into a widespread online movement, especially on TikTok.
