Media figure Daniel Regha expressed that it was not right for singer Chike to give a troll N1 million while not doing anything for his loyal fans.
In a tweet, Daniel mentioned that the action of the Egwu singer was not a sign of wealth but rather a poor choice and a lack of self-discipline.
Some individuals mentioned that they have been backing his work since the start of his career. Yet, the singer did not recognize them and instead gave N1 million to someone who dislikes him.
Remember that a troll confronted Chike on X, claiming his top streams were due to featuring the late singer in his song, Egwu. Frustrated with the ongoing argument, Chike decided to send the troll the money to let him and the late singer find peace.

@RegardlessH: “That was a wrong gift, but bro, let’s chill, it’s not our money.”
@savalake231: “I think he’s sleeping now and you’re up taking paracetamol for his worries.”
@OdegheR: “No need to troll you nothing dey so continue your nonsense.”
@naijaBoys_Tales: “How many fans him go dash money.”
@UKAAAA30: “You are quite right. Chike’s choice to give a substantial amount to a troll while neglecting his loyal fans seems like a major misstep. This shows a clear misunderstanding of the importance of appreciating those who have supported him. This decision would surely not sit well with you.”
@espeezeal: “That’s how insecure men move. Zero sense, just emotions to show off.”
In other news, Victor Boniface has warned social media trolls that he won’t offer monetary rewards for insults, unlike singer Chike, who recently gave ₦1 million to a critic.
Chike’s gesture sparked debate, with some criticizing him for not rewarding loyal fans and others calling it a publicity stunt.
Boniface expressed on X that he views insults as entertainment and won’t compensate for them, stating, “I just wake Dey see insult as cruise. Ah I just Dey understand. My acct no dey do transfer ooo,” he wrote.
His post received mixed reactions, including further insults and suggestions to reward his detractors.
