Davido, a well-known artist from Nigeria, has apologized for missing the Warri event to his fans who were expecting him in Delta State.
Davido became the subject of controversy when he missed Amaju Pinnick’s Warri Again event.
Former Nigerian Football Federation president Amaju Pinnick asserted that Davido received $98,000 in addition to $18,000 for a private jet to take him to Delta State from the event’s organizers.
Davido allegedly failed to show up after accepting the payment and accepting the date, according to Pinnick.
Davido responded to Pinnick by accusing the former NFF president of being a dishonest football official who failed to pay the wages and perks owed to Nigerian athletes in a series of tweets and images posted to his Instagram story.
Davido responded by declaring that no one could ban him from playing anyplace in Nigeria, despite Amaju Pinnick’s claims that he wouldn’t be invited back to Delta state in his words.
Last but not least, Davido has apologized on his Instagram page. The ‘Fem’ singer expressed his remorse and displeasure at missing the concert and promised to bring an even larger performance to the region.*
Davido said that even after informing the Warri Again organizers of his inability to attend the event due to a problem with his show in New Zealand, they had been using his name in advertising for the event.
Davido apologized to his Warri supporters and assured them that he will soon bring his “Timeless Xperience Concert” to Delta State.
