Afrobeat singer Davido expressed his anger towards an international blog, The Shade Borough, for sharing a fake photo of him on social media.
The original picture showed Davido taking a bathroom selfie in front of a mirror, wearing a towel around his waist.
However, the manipulated photo depicted a blurry image of a man wearing pants instead of a towel. This edited photo quickly spread across social media and became viral.
Although the image has been taken down, Davido responded to the incident, expressing his confusion and frustration over the unfair treatment.
He even hinted at the possibility of leaving the music industry due to continuous criticism and directed curses towards those responsible for the manipulation.
In his words:
“Now u delete it when u knew it was fake! Whatever I did to yall … one day God will reveal it.
WILL OR WHATEVER OR NAME IS NAH OGUN GO KILL U AND UR GENERATION.”
Sharing the original photo on his X page, Davido wrote:
“Nah God go punish THE SHADE BOROUGH.”
