It is noteworthy that the talented singer secured the award in the Best African Music Performance category with her song “Love Me JeJe,” triumphing over competitors such as “Tomorrow” by Yemi Alade, “MMS” by Asake featuring Wizkid, “Sensational” by Chris Brown featuring Davido and Lojay, and “Higher” by Burna Boy.

Davido not only congratulated Tems on her remarkable accomplishment but also extended his best wishes to his American counterpart, Chris Brown, whose 11th album, “11:11 (Deluxe),” was honored as Best R&B Album at the 2025 awards.
