DMW label owner and music star David Adeleke ‘Davido’ has influenced the careers of several musicians, even some who are not signed to his label.
In a recent interview with Beat FM, singer Ruger, real name Michael Adebayo Olayinka, discussed how Davido has been supportive of his career in response to a question regarding Davido adding him among the future big five.
Ruger, who stated he met Davido in 2020 before his sudden rise to fame in 2021, claims the A-lister has been supporting for him for a long time, even going so far as to raise awareness for him.
“Davido has been supporting me before I came out. He met before I blow, he has been creating awareness for him,” Ruger said.
The Jonzing World signee also applauded Nigerian Grammy Award winner Burna Boy for giving him a chance to perform at his concert at the O2 Arena.
