Nigerian artist Davido has reacted to those who want to cancel his upcoming concert in Lagos after his recent controversial interview.
In that interview, he stated that Nigeria’s economy is in “shambles,” which sparked mixed reactions among his fans. Some appreciated his honesty, while others called him unpatriotic.
Davido shared on his X page that there are efforts to cancel his show scheduled for December 24, 2024.
In response, he confidently stated that he doesn’t have to perform in Nigeria, highlighting his worldwide fanbase and many international performance opportunities.
He wrote:
“Dem say dem go cancel my show cus of my interview … loooool I don’t to have perform in NIGERIA 🇳🇬.”
