Davido reacts as Peruzzi vows sue influencer over fake tweet involving him and Singer’s wife, Chioma

Davido, a Grammy-nominated artist, has approved the prosecution of an influencer who falsely accused his wife, Chioma, and former signee, Peruzzi.

On Thursday, a Twitter account known as Baddy of Lassu used the X platform to create a comment allegedly authored by Peruzzi.

The false statement featured Peruzzi blasting Davido for his ingratitude and alleged connection with Davido’s wife.

The influencer then reversed their statement, apologizing to both Davido and Peruzzi. He recognized the manipulation of the tweet, accepted full responsibility for their actions, and promised to prevent similar events in the future.

Despite the apologies, Peruzzi refused to accept it and instead asked followers to repost his message to raise funds for legal bills, implying that legal action was imminent.

In response, Davido agreed, calling for the influencer’s imprisonment with the intention of throwing the key.

In his words, “Throw away the keys.”

The LASU student has continued to apologise, while adding that he was not the one who edited the tweet he posted.
