Nigerian Afrobeats artist Davido Adeleke has revealed that he will release his much-awaited debut single for 2024, called ‘Awuke.’

This will be his first solo project since he released his fourth studio album, Timeless, in March 2023.

Although Davido has been busy collaborating on tracks like the hit remixes ‘Twe Twe’ with Kizz Daniel and ‘Ogechi’ featuring Boypee, Hyce, and Brown Joel, fans have been eagerly waiting for his solo work.

The singer is trying out the Amapiano genre, which is quite different from his usual Afrobeats music. He has teamed up with YG Marley, the grandson of reggae icon Bob Marley.

This unexpected collaboration has generated a lot of interest, especially since Marley comes from a reggae background, and fans are looking forward to how their unique styles will come together.

Davido has shared that his new track ‘Awuke’ will be out on Thursday, October 31, 2024.
