Nigerian Afrobeat star, Davido, has opened up about his highly anticipated album, ‘5ive,’ revealing some exciting details ahead of its release.
In a recent conversation, Davido shared that his involvement in the album goes beyond just being the artist, as he took part in co-producing several tracks.
The singer recalled his early days in music, mentioning that his first single, ‘Back When,’ was also produced by him. He expressed how this album marked a return to that creative space, saying, “With this album, I did a lot of co-production. We got back in that bag,”
During a livestream with popular alternative artist, Cruel Santino, Davido further elaborated on the meaning behind the album’s title, noting that while ‘5ive’ may not have a deep philosophical meaning, it clearly represents his fifth studio album.
As the album’s release date approaches on April 18th, Davido has been giving fans a preview of the new music. The singer performed several songs from ‘5ive’ at a recent concert in France and is gearing up for a live show in London. With anticipation building, fans can look forward to a unique blend of fresh sounds and live performances when the album drops.
