Nigerian music artist Davido Adeleke, known as Davido, recently caught the attention of blogs by sharing his journey into Afrobeats with fans online.
He received a nomination for the 2025 Grammy Awards for his collaboration with Chris Brown on the track “Sensational.”
In a recent interview, the father of twins discussed how Don Jazzy and D’banj motivated him to pursue music.
Davido shared that in 2008, when he was only 14, he picked up Don Jazzy and D’banj from the airport in Atlanta. They were there for a show and had plans with Kanye West, which excited him a lot.
After that, they went to a club and spent more than $20,000, which he thought was incredible.
This experience inspired him to return home and pursue music.
