David Adeleke, better known as Davido, has backed PDP candidate Ighodalo for the Edo governorship election.
He shared a newspaper cover of Ighodalo on Instagram, captioning it, “The next governor of my mother’s homeland.”
While Davido is originally from Ede in Osun State, his mother’s Edo roots make his support meaningful. The election is set for Saturday, September 21, 2024.
His endorsement comes as his uncle, Governor Ademola Adeleke, arrives in Benin City for a PDP event supporting Ighodalo.
