Paul Okoye, a Nigerian artist and the other half of the well-known music duo, Psquare, has a warning for female celebrities who portray themselves as father figures.
Paul criticized how they reduced the significance of Father’s Day on his Instagram story.
He said he was looking forward to the day when a male would celebrate himself on Mother’s Day by posting a photo of himself with a child.
He also bemoaned the way mothers were always dragging Father’s Day along with them.
“Just waiting on the day a man will post himself with a child on Happy Mother’s Day. Small Father’s Day wey we just dey manage. Aswear dem don spoil Father’s Day finish”.
This is coming after the likes of Ini Edo, Tonto Dikeh, Ruby Ojiakor, others celebrated themselves on Father’s Day.
Nollywood actress Ini Edo, like her colleague Tonto Dikeh, is celebrating Father’s Day.
The happy mother wished herself a happy Father’s Day on Instagram, where she shared a snapshot of herself and her mini-me.
“Happy Father’s Day from ME and MINE”.
