Denola Grey, a Nigerian content creator based in the UK, criticized African parents who push their children into marriages, highlighting the unhappiness of their generation.
He shared his thoughts on the Dressed To Confess Podcast, pointing out the differences between marriages in the past and those in the 21st century.
Grey suggested that parents might be to blame for their children’s unhappy marriages because of the pressure they put on them.
He believes that many modern marriages are like ‘slavery’ and that a lot of people are truly miserable in their marital relationships.
Grey made it clear that when he decides to settle down, it will be with someone he loves, not just someone he puts up with.
In his words;
“When will you marry? When will you fix your marriage? How about that? I don’t know why they are so obsessed with marriage because a lot of them are not in happy marriages especially like the older generation I’m like so you want me to just like meet someone, marry them and just be managing them. Like, I hate slavery.”
