The Deputy Governor of Lagos State, Obafemi Hamzat, led an official delegation to visit the mother of Mohbad, a Nigerian singer who died on September 12.
Mohbad, who had recently quit Marlin Music, was said to have died of an ear infection.
He was laid to rest the next day, surrounded by bereaved loved ones.
Nigerians have been grieving his loss on social media and demanding a probe into the possible reason of his death.
Netizens have accused some persons, but there is no actual evidence to back up their claims.
To address these concerns, the Nigerian police have formed a team to conduct an extensive inquiry, including an autopsy, into Mohbad’s death.
Amid these developments, Deputy Governor Obafemi Hamzat visited Mohbad’s mother to offer condolences for her son’s passing.
