American rapper Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs, currently in jail, has denied new allegations after 120 more people claimed he sexually assaulted them.
These individuals plan to file several lawsuits, with accusations that go back over 25 years, involving both women and underage boys and girls.
After the news broke in Texas, Combs’ lawyer released a statement saying the rapper cannot respond to every baseless claim in what has turned into a chaotic media situation.
Mr. Combs strongly denies any accusations of sexual abuse, including those involving minors.
He is eager to clear his name in court, where the truth will be determined by evidence rather than assumptions.
Attorney Tony Buzbee from Houston anticipates that lawsuits will be submitted in the coming month, primarily in New York and Los Angeles.
Buzbee stated that there were 60 male and 60 female victims, with 25 of them being minors at the time of the alleged incidents. He mentioned one person claimed to be 9 years old when the abuse occurred. The allegations span from 1991 to the present year.
Buzbee expressed strong feelings about the situation, saying, “This kind of sexual assault, abuse, and exploitation should never take place in the United States or anywhere else. It should not have been allowed to continue for so long.”
He added, “This behavior has left many people hurt, frightened, and traumatized.”
Buzbee mentioned that over 3,280 people reached out to his firm, claiming they were harmed by Combs. After reviewing these claims, his firm chose to represent 120 individuals, while other cases are still under examination. Some of his clients have also talked to the FBI.
The clients represented by Buzbee’s firm come from more than 25 states, primarily from California, New York, Georgia, and Florida.
According to Buzbee, the alleged abuse mostly occurred at parties in New York, California, and Florida, where attendees were served drinks that contained drugs.
Buzbee mentioned that some of the reported actions occurred during auditions, where many young people trying to enter the industry felt pressured to engage in such behavior with the hope of becoming stars.
Combs, 54, has been in the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn since he pleaded not guilty on September 17 to federal charges. He is accused of using his influence to persuade female victims into drugged and staged sexual performances with male sex workers at events called ‘Freak Offs.’
Other claimed victims have already taken legal action against Combs, making accusations of sexual assault.
Combs has denied the charges of racketeering conspiracy and sex trafficking. His lawyer stated that he is innocent and will work to prove it.
