Singer and social media influencer Ademola Abiodun, popularly known as DJ Chicken, recently reacted to a video of his friend, Akinpelu Babatunde Adigun, also known as Tunde Perry, offering prayers for him in Mecca.
Tunde Perry, who gained attention after meeting music star Olamide months ago, made a pilgrimage to Mecca and took the opportunity to pray for DJ Chicken. In his prayers, he asked Allah to fulfill all of DJ Chicken’s desires and provide everything he claims to have and those he does not yet possess.
However, DJ Chicken was unimpressed with the gesture. In response to the video, he criticized Perry, stating that he should focus on praying for himself instead. He also reminded Perry that his own mother had already prayed for him in Mecca before, labeling his friend as “mad.”
During his time at the Kaaba, Perry also prayed for DJ Chicken’s sins to be forgiven. Additionally, he asked Allah to grant his friend ease in all his endeavors, bless him with a long life, and protect him from troubles and illnesses. He also prayed for DJ Chicken to build a house and live a life free from hardship.
Meanwhile, several other celebrities have been making pilgrimages to Mecca. Earlier in 2025, actress Mercy Aigbe and her husband, Kazim Adeoti, shared a video as they embarked on their Umrah journey.
Similarly, Fuji musicians Pasuma and Taye Currency recently visited the holy site, where they publicly reconciled after a long-standing feud. A viral video showed the two artists embracing and urging their fans to continue supporting them as they declared peace.
