Florence Ifeoluwa Otedola, commonly known as DJ Cuppy, a prominent disc jockey and the daughter of Nigerian billionaire Femi Otedola, has become the first Nigerian to host the opening session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA).
Cuppy moderated the Youth Action Day at the 2024 UNGA, titled “The Summit of the Future – Youth Actions Day.”
Cuppy also gave a musical performance after her keynote presentation.
Her session was the biggest youth gathering in UN Headquarters history.
Other personalities at the session include the UN Assistant Secretary-General for Youth Affairs and the president of Cape Verde, José Maria Neves.
Reacting hours ago on her Instagram story, Cuppy expressed her excitement writing:
“PINCH ME.
Can’t believe I had the chance to open up the Summit of the Future AND moderate at the @unitednations
General Assembly!
EVEN though I believe preparation meets opportunity, I KNOW it was really God speaking through me!.”
