  • Red Nose Day is an annual fundraising event by Comic Relief, focused on using comedy to combat poverty and enhance children’s welfare globally.
  • The campaign aims to improve children’s safety, education, health, and empowerment.
  • Renowned Nigerian disc jockey and philanthropist, DJ Cuppy, born Florence Otedola, has once again demonstrated her generosity by participating in this year’s Red Nose Day campaign.

Red Nose Day is an annual fundraising initiative by Comic Relief, held every March, using comedy to generate funds aimed at breaking the cycle of poverty and improving children’s safety, education, health, and overall empowerment worldwide.

According to BBC, this year’s Red Nose Day is being observed on March 21, marking four decades of comedy and entertainment dedicated to charitable causes. Celebrities and various groups are coming together to raise money while spreading joy.

As part of the initiative, DJ Cuppy—who previously made headlines for expressing her search for a life partner on LinkedIn—enthusiastically joined the cause. She played a key role as a judge at the Comic Relief x Debate Mate finals, where young participants showcased their debating skills.

Expressing her excitement, Cuppy commended the impressive leadership and talent displayed by the students. She emphasized the significance of youth involvement in social causes and highlighted how inspiring it was to witness their passion for making a difference.

Sharing pictures of her nose painted in red colour, she wrote:

“TODAY is #RedNoseDay 🔴 To celebrate, I had the honour of judging the @comicrelief x @debatemate finals alongside some VERY familiar faces.

“Six insanely impressive students took the stage, showing the power of youth leadership. I’m SO humbled to SEE and HEAR the next generation stepping UP! “

    See her post below:

    @tonyluiz00:”You’re the best.”

@10.manji:”Allow me to marry you achalugo,”

@stimulated.co:”Having the ability to grow and be at peace in the same environment that tested you is why your magic is different. The version of you that has had enough is the version of you that will change everything. Nobody tells you how hard it is to rewire your brain so you can allow amazing things to happen to you after so much trauma or hurt. Frustration fuels your evolution. Blessings exist, good people exist, a softer life exists. Keep going.”

@zeezcouture_:”Omo I just want God to bless me with a sewing machine to start working. I pray that blessing of God Locate me.”

@olaoluwarozay07_:”Most relationships taught me the more chances you give people, the less they value you.

“They’re not scared to lose you because they know no matter what, you won’t walk away. Never let anyone get comfortable with disrespecting you. Love yourself enough to choose distance over disrespect.”

@ismailknk7:”Best regards and greetings from Turkey, I love you and your country very much.”

moneybponu.s:”STOP STOP My God, how many millions of dollars do I have in my bank account, who do I send it to?”

@azeezomomamadmw30bg877:”THOSE THAT GATHER THEMSELVES TOGETHER TO FIGHT YOU SHALL BE SCATTERED, THOSE THAT LIFT SWORDS AGAINST YOU SHALL DIE BY THE SWORD. NO WEAPON FORMED AGAINST YOU SHALL PROSPER AND EVERY TONGUE THAT RISES AGAINST YOU SHALL BE CONDEMNED INSHALLAH.”

@s_marshal1014:”Second slide is so funny 😂 continue your good work my.”
