A Nigerian doctor shares his experience after finding out that the Bolt driver who picked him up has both a BSc and MSc in Analytical Chemistry.

The doctor, known as @docneto, posted about it on X.

During the ride, he discovered that the driver was a chemistry major with a master’s degree. The driver got his bachelor’s degree from the University of Ilorin and his MSc from Lautech.

The doctor voiced his worries about the weakening of societal values and stressed the importance of addressing this issue.

“The bolt driver that ferried me to church this morning has a bachelor’s and master’s degree in analytical chemistry. He should not be driving Bolt while IG baddies are driving lambos. We need to urgently arrest this slide in our value system”

@lamajoraa: “You are partly right, but elsewhere, the same is still obtainable. Cardi B drives a Lambo truck in the same America where doctorate degree holders in analytical chemistry and even medicine drive Uber. The difference is that they drive Uber as a choice, not out of necessity, unlike in Nigeria, where it is done just to survive.

My point is that we need to urgently arrest the slide in our decision-making when choosing leaders during elections.”
