Popular music producer Michael Collins Ajereh, aka Don Jazzy, who also serves as the CEO of Mavins Records, has denied that Divine Okubor Rema’s contract with one of Nigeria’s leading music labels will be terminated.

Rumours have circulated that Rema has parted ways with Mavins and its affiliate, Jonzing World, which is controlled by Don Jazzy’s brother D’Prince.

In a recent online post, Don Jazzy conveyed a subtle statement about Rema’s supposed exit from Mavins Records.

Don Jazzy posted a photo of himself and Rema with Mavins’ Chief Operating Officer, Tega Oghenejobo, captioned “Mavins in Paris”.

Despite Don Jazzy’s dismissal of the claims, some internet users questioned Rema’s involvement with the Mavins label.

In other news, Nigerian music executive Michael Collins Ajereh, popularly known as Don Jazzy, recently made headlines on social media after a video showed him in a tense mood.

The owner of the record label was seen scolding fast-rising online artist Layi Wasabi. The viral video started during the confrontation, when the Mavin CEO threatened to beat the comedian.

Don Jazzy was recorded saying to Layi Wasabi, “I will beat you.” Don Jazzy quickly exited the scene after screaming out at Layi, leaving the skit maker and others watching.

However, the encounter appears to be a small clip from a skit, as cameras can be seen in the video’s background.
