A video has surfaced showing late Dr Chike Akunyili, husband of former NAFDAC boss, Late Professor Dora Akunyili, shortly after he was attacked by unknown gunmen in Nkpor, Anambra state on Tuesday, September 28.
In the video obtained late Akunyili could be seen lying on the floor with his bloodied eyes and opened skull. He was gasping for air while onlookers filmed him. No one helped to rush him to the hospital after the attack.
The husband to late former Information Minister and NAFDAC boss, Prof. Dora Akunyili, Dr. Chike Akunyili, has been gruesomely murdered by unknown gunmen.
Late Chike Akunyili had just attended a meeting of the University of Nigeria Nsukka Alumni Association (UNAA) where he spoke glowingly of his late wife who was a member and was on his way home when he was killed by the gunmen
The state police command is yet to react or issue any statement about the sad incident.
