Dr. Babatunde Ajayi, a former special assistant to Prof. Akin Abayomi has been named The Lagos State Environmental Protection Agency’s new general manager
The agency made the announcement of his appointment on Monday via X, formerly known as Twitter.
Dr. Dolapo Fasawe, the agency’s departing general manager, will be replaced by Ajayi.
The announcement reads, “The Lagos State Government has appointed Dr. Babatunde Ajayi as the new General Manager of the Lagos State Environmental Protection Agency. Dr. Ajayi is a renowned physician and global health consultant.
“Dr. Former Special Assistant to the Lagos State Commissioner for Health, Ajayi is a skilled administrator and a young doctor.
“He also oversaw a number of initiatives and projects that helped Lagos State’s health outcomes.
“He will replace Dr. Dolapo Fasawe, a seasoned administrator and environmental activist who has accepted a position of greater responsibility at the Federal Capital Territory. “
