Dr. Kingsley Isitua Obiora has been confirmed as the Deputy Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) by the senate.
Obiora was confirmed by the Nigerian senate after a report from the Senate Committee on Banking, Insurance and other Financial Institutions, following his nomination by President Buhari.
The appointments of Zikrullah (Sikiru) Olakunle Hassan as the Chairman of the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON), Abdullahi Magaji Hardawa as the commission’s Executive Commissioner-Operation, Inspection and Licensing, Nura Hassan Yakasai as the commission’s Executive Commissioner-Policy, Personnel, Management and Finance and Sheikh Momoh Suleman Imonikhe as Executive Commissioner, Planning, Research, Statistics, Information and Library, were also confirmed by the senate.
The Upper Chamber also confirmed the appointments of part-time members of the commission and they include Mrs Halimat Jibril (Niger State), Abba Jato (Borno State), Garba Umar (Sokoto State), Ibrahim Ogbonnia Amah (Ebonyi State), Sadiq Oniyesaneyene Musa (Delta State) and Mrs. Akintude Basirat Olayinka (Ogun State).
