Legendary music figure Innocent Idibia, widely recognized as 2Baba, has ignited yet another controversy by removing a post expressing his affection for Natasha Irobosa Osawaru, a Nigerian politician who currently holds the position of Deputy Majority Leader in the Edo State House of Assembly.
According to Gistlover, in the early hours of Wednesday, February 12, 2025, the artist shared a video on his Instagram account, professing his love for the lawmaker and his desire to marry her. However, he promptly deleted the post after it garnered significant attention. He stated, in part:
“Yes, I love her. She’s amazing, she’s cool. I want to marry her.”
He also emphasized that he and his former spouse, Annie Macaulay Idibia, maintain a cordial relationship characterized by mutual understanding. He remarked: “On the other side, Annie and I are not fighting, we are not quarrelling. We have a good understanding of ourselves and what’s going on.”
Furthermore, in response to allegations suggesting that Natasha was responsible for the discord between him and his wife, he ardently defended her, asserting her innocence.
In a subsequent post, which has also been removed, 2Baba made a bold move by sharing a photograph of Natasha and appealing to social media users to persuade his new partner to accept his marriage proposal. He referred to her as his world, stating:
“Now this is my world. Make una help me beg am to marry me”.
However, with the simultaneous emergence of his new romantic interest and his divorce—both occurring within a span of two weeks—netizens and fans find themselves divided.
