Drop your pride and Say sorry to May! – Fans reacts over Yul Edochie’s recent call for reconciliation and peace

Yul Edochie, a Nollywood actor, is making news once again, but this time it’s not for his cinematic achievements—it’s for a controversial post that has sparked an uproar of criticism amid his personal life.

Yul, who is now entangled in a highly publicised divorce from estranged wife May Edochie, owing partly to his contentious connection with fellow actress Judy Austin, has delved into the turbulent seas of public perception with his latest comments on the need of making apologies.

On September 28, Yul turned to his official Facebook page, hoping to convey a powerful message about the importance of apologies in our lives.

In a post that he likely intended to be reflective and insightful, he urged his followers to never consider themselves too proud to say “I’m sorry.”

He articulated that as human beings, we are inherently flawed and that recognizing our imperfections is crucial to personal growth and healing.

In a striking appeal to empathy, Yul stated that many people have tragically lost their lives simply because they failed to reach out and apologize to those they had wronged.

Yul didn’t stop there; he went on to warn that harboring grudges can not only weigh heavily on one’s spirit but can also expose individuals to spiritual vulnerabilities.

His words;

“Never feel too big to say ‘l’m sorry’ We’re all humans, No one is perfect In this life, you’ll wrong people & people will wrong you

“Apologize when you wrong someone. Many people have lost their lives bcos they failed to apologize to people they wronged

“It can weaken the spirits that protect you and make you prone to spiritual attacks”

However, this heartfelt message did not resonate as he may have hoped. Almost immediately, his followers unleashed a torrent of backlash, accusing him of hypocrisy.

Many were quick to point out that Yul, given his current circumstances, lacks the moral authority to preach about apology.

His critics insisted that until he genuinely apologizes to May Edochie, who recently bagged an Africa achievement award, for the upheaval caused by his actions, his words ring hollow.
