DSS Apprehend Mastermind Behind Kidnapping Of Rarara’s Mother, Recovers N26.5m

One of the masterminds behind the kidnapping of Dauda Kahutu Rarara, the mother of ace political singer, has been apprehended by Department of State Services (DSS) agents in Kano.

According to Daily Trust, the operatives also killed one suspect during a covert operation.

According to a high placed source in the Command, N26.5 million was also recovered during the process.

According to the source, the Kano command’s tactical unit, acting on solid intelligence, apprehended a gang of five criminals in Makarfi bushes who were sharing the ransom.

“One Hamisu Tukur, is currently in custody with gun shot injuries, while Bature was killed,” the source said.

According to the Daily Trust, the armed men broke into Rara’s mother, Hajiya Hauwa’u Adamu’s house in Kahutu and abducted her about three weeks ago.

She was eventually released after spending 20 days in captivity.
