The Dubai Crown Prince went to the aid of a poor family who was held at a hospital over failure to pay hospital bills amounting to AED 400,000 (about $108,000).
Suliyat Adulkareem, a 29-year-old woman was held up in the hospital because she had no insurance and was stranded as well. The children, two boys, and two girls were born at the Latifa Hospital for Women and Children on July 1 through an emergency C-section and placed on ventilators.
The news of her situation went viral where the Nigerian community rallied around to raise AED 42,000 (around $11,500) to pay part of the bills. Luckily, the Crown Prince, Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum felt sad for her after hearing the story and ordered his office to quickly settle the debt.
