Ekene Umenwa couldn’t contain her joy when one of her favorite gospel ministers, Moses Bliss, attended her wedding.

Critics slammed the actress for what they saw as rudeness toward her husband, claiming she went too far in her enthusiasm to greet the musician.

In a viral video, the wedding’s officiating MC, Deacon Famous, came to her rescue, stating unequivocally that her actions were not wrong.

He emphasized that her hug with Moses Bliss was a product of her excitement, and her act of kneeling was a way to connect with the singer’s spiritual blessings and to partake in heartfelt worship and prayer to God in the spirit.

Ekene’s husband, Alex Kleanson, in response to the flood of criticisms directed at his wife, made his voice heard in the comment section of MC Deacon Famous.

He expressed his gratitude to the MC for standing up for his wife and made it clear that, as her husband, he sees nothing wrong with Ekene’s actions, and he’s not complaining.
