A man from Nigeria living in the UK experienced a sudden power outage and contacted the electricity company for assistance.
The power company, Octopus Energy, responded to the customer’s message and their reply has gained popularity on social media.
Octopus Energy sincerely apologized for the inconvenience caused by the power outage and generously offered to refund the customer £100 (N191,000).
This refund would allow the customer to stay at a hotel for the night instead of enduring a home without electricity.
Furthermore, the company assured the customer that a technician would be sent the following day to resolve the issue.
The company wrote: “As you are without electricity, we would be happy to reimburse the cost of a hotel tonight up to £100.”
