Elon Musk’s transgender child, Vivian Jenna Wilson, described her father as cruel, cold, narcissistic, and an absentee parent in an interview with NBC News.
Not so long ago, Vivian went from being a man to a woman, changing her last name to be unrelated to her millionaire father.
She has now spoken out publicly for the first time, days after her father made a number of claims about her, including that she was “dead” and “killed” after transitioning, sparking his vow to “destroy the woke mind virus.”
Musk also claimed that he was “tricked” into authorizing treatment for her transition when she was 16, and that he had no idea what was going on at the time.
Wilson added, “I think he was under the assumption that I wasn’t going to say anything and I would just let this go unchallenged. Which I’m not going to do, because if you’re going to lie about me, like, blatantly to an audience of millions, I’m not just gonna let that slide.”
Wilson told NBC that Musk had not been misled and that he not only understood what was going on but was well-informed about her decision.
When she was 16, Wilson stated that she had wanted to begin treatment for severe gender dysphoria for months but needed permission from both Musk and her mother, Musk’s first wife, Justine Musk.
After divorcing in 2008, they shared custody of Wilson and her twin brother.
Wilson stated that her mother was supportive, but Musk was not, requiring them to meet in person to discuss the treatment.
He studied the medical forms she provided at least twice, Wilson told NBC, adding that “he was not by any means tricked. He knew the full side effects.”
During an interview with conservative commentator Jordan Peterson on Monday, Musk said that he was never told that puberty blockers were “actually just sterilization drugs.”
Puberty blockers on their own do not affect fertility.
“They save lives. Let’s not get that twisted,” Wilson said of the treatments she used, including puberty blockers and later hormone-replacement therapy. “They definitely allowed me to thrive.”
Wilson also spoke about growing up with Musk, who was already working on SpaceX and Tesla before she was ten years old.
She stated that Musk was rarely present in her life.
She stated that he was only present “maybe, 10% of the time” and that when he was, Musk berated her and was unsupportive.
“He was cold,” she said. “He’s very quick to anger. He is uncaring and narcissistic.”
Musk would harass her as a child for displaying feminine traits and urge her to become more masculine, such as deepening her voice.
“We went on this road trip that I didn’t know was actually just an advertisement for one of the cars — I don’t remember which one — and he was constantly yelling at me viciously because my voice was too high,” she said. “It was cruel.”
Musk stated on social media that he knew she was “gay” from an early age since when she was four years old, Wilson adored musical theatre and picked out jacket for Musk to wear that she described as “fabulous.”
Wilson stated in a social media post that she “most certainly” did not do what Musk claimed, and that he reduced her “to a happy little stereotype” because Musk was not around to know her as a child.
Wilson wrote: “I’m legally recognized as a woman in the state of California and I don’t concern myself with the opinions of those who are below me. Obviously, Elon can’t say the same because, in a ketamine-fueled haze, he’s desperate for attention and validation from an army of degenerate red-pilled incels and pick-men who are quick to give it to him.”
Wilson said NBC she hasn’t spoken to Musk in about four years and refuses to be defined by him.
In 2022, she filed for a name change and a new birth certificate, stating in court records that she no longer wishes to “be related to my biological father in any way, shape, or form.”
