Erica Nlewedim, the BBNaija ‘Lockdown ‘ housemate, has talked about the hard times she faced during her last days at the reality show.
Recall that the actress was disqualified following her altercation with her co-housemate, Laycon in the reality show. She was also the most hated in the house because she choose Kiddwaya over Laycon.
Speaking in an interview with Chude Jideonwo, Erica Nlewedim opened up on her mental health and life after BBNaija.
According to her, her last days in the house were filled with sadness.
The reality star revealed that because of her mental health, she was very sad and had stopped smiling.
To make it worse, she got disqualified and on coming out of the house, she was overwhelmed with the love she received.
She admitted that it was a lot of things for her to take especially knowing that her life had changed and she needed the time off to adjust herself to avoid being overwhelmed by the outpour of love.
In her words;
“Well, because of my mental health, when I was in the House, towards the end of my stay I was getting really sad like I wasn’t smiling anymore, I was not happy. Then coming out in that shocking way, coming to face the world and hearing all the things people had to say about me and seeing all the love knowing that oh I have a new…it was just a lot of things to take in at the same time.
Plus knowing that my life has changed. I’m just trying to adjust so many things, so I needed that time, I didn’t want to just be overwhelmed and must breakdown or something, that was the best thing”.
