Manchester City manager, Pep Guardiola, has claimed he will leave at the end of his current contract.
Guardiola also revealed that he will try his hands in coaching a national team.
The 50-year-old signed a new deal in November which keeps him at City until the end of the 2022/2023 season.
By that time, Guardiola would have spent seven full seasons at the Etihad, making it his longest stint at any one club.
Guardiola reveals his next move after Man City’s Champions League disappointment
Guardiola, speaking an XP Investimentos event on Wednesday, admitted he must “take a break” from the rigours of Premier League management
Asked where his next role would be, the Spaniard said: “A national team, yes. Next step will be a national team, if there is a possibility. A national team is the next step.
“I must take a break after seven years (at City). I need to stop and see, learn from other coaches, and maybe take that path.
“I would like to train for a European Championship, a Copa America, a World Cup.”
