English Premier League side, Tottenham Hotspur have moved into their new stadium which was celebrated with an under 18 win against Southampton at a test event in front of almost 29,000 fans.
However, the club’s manager Mauricio Pochettino believes the noise from the crowd in the 62k capacity stadium can be loud enough to drown Manchester City when they face in the round of 8 of the UEFA Champions League.
Thanking Tottenham fans for their patience while away on exile at Wembley Stadium, Pochettino said:
“The pay-off is going to be amazing and a massive help for the team to have the possibility to finish this season well.
“We know we have a massive challenge in the quarter-final of the Champions League but with all our fans, 62,000 people behind us, we can make possible our dream to be in the semi-final. Why not?
“This is our new house, our new home, and it’s going to be magic.
“White Hart Lane was magic, but this is going to be one of the best in the world.
“When it starts to feel like home, it will be unbelievable. I really believe the future of the club is going to be fantastic.”
