Folasade Tinubu-Ojo, Tinubu’s first daughter, caused controversy online with her new title on Twitter.
The lady updated her profile and identified herself as the Iyaloja General of Nigeria.
Nigerians expressed outrage over this on social media, and David Hundeyin wasn’t shy in criticizing her for the statement.
Hundeyin criticized Tinubu and his family in a tweet, accusing them of attempting to “cut the ticket” for Nigerian nationals.
In his words:
“Iyaloja General of Nigeria. These people legit have no greater ambition than to cut tickets every day for every Nigerian citizen. Even Buhari was more subtle.”
Reacting to this, Weyimi said: “That’s the dream David, that’s the dream their minion also aspire to achieve. Nothing productive whatsoever.”
General Oluchi wrote: “Didn’t we warn people of her plans to be the Iyaloja of Nigeria? Una go see the real taxing. Lol!”
Ayodeji added: “We don enter wahala like this. I don dey apply for jobs outside Nigeria since yesterday.”
On Monday, May 29th 2023, her father, the President-elect, Bola Tinubu, and Vice President-elect, Kashim Shettima, took their oaths of office, officially becoming the President and Vice President of Nigeria, respectively.
