Former governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, Charles Chukwuma Soludo, has called for a single term of six years for any elected president in Nigeria.
Soludo, a professor of Economics, made this call at the Alex Ekwueme Square, Awka, Anambra State, while speaking at the South East summit on restructuring IN Nigeria yesterday May 21st.
Soludo during his presentation, suggested that asides the six year single term for the president, five vice presidents, each representing a geopolitical zone, should be elected.
“The tenure of office of the President shall be a single term of six years. There shall be five Vice Presidents. One from each of the six geopolitical zones.” he said
