Ex-Ebonyi State Governor, Martin Elechi loses Son
Former Governor of Ebonyi State, Chief Martin Elechi, reportedly lost his second son Dr. Onyekachi Elechi yesterday.
While the cause of his death is yet not known, however it was gathered that before his death the second son of Chief Martins Elechi, was a lecturer with the Department of Computer Science, Ebonyi state University.
Reacting to the sad news in his condolence message, Governor David Umahi of Ebonyi state expressed great shock over the death of Onyekachi Elechi, son of his predecessor, Chief Martin Elechi and described the death as devastating.
In the statement released on behalf of Governor David Umahi by his Chief Press Secretary Emmanuel Uzor, Onyekachi’s death was descrived as tragic, devastating and heartbreaking. He further condoled with former Governor Elechi’s family over the loss.
The statement read in part;
“It is most painful to accept this reality of the nothingness of beingness and to accept the glaring reality that your son, Onyekachi is dead. To you, he was a son but to us, he was a teacher, a young man who rose to top of his career and remained dedicated to his duties as well discharged his cc as a teacher and a father creditably. It is therefore at this juncture that I most sincerely convey my deepest condolences to you and your entire family on behalf of the patriotic citizens of Ebonyi State.
“It is therefore my earnest prayer that he will find rest in God’s bosom while I urge you and your entire family to bear the trauma caused by his untimely demise with utmost courage, bearing in mind that his stay on earth was memorable and sojourn to eternity glorious”
