The speculated report reaching Gistlover.com, on Sunday morning, indicates that the Leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, Nnamdi Kanu, may have embarked on indefinite exile by escaping out of Nigeria through the unconventional land borders.
The alleged report came against the backdrop that Nnamdi Kanu had not been seen in public for five days, after his residence in Abia State was raided by Soldiers.
“Nnamdi Kanu may have escaped to Cameroun through one of this unconventional land borders. Since after the raid, he has not been seen in public, either is he in his residence in Abia State. Do not forget that Abia is very close to Akwa Ibom State, that shares a common boundary with Cameroun”, a source told Gistlover.com.
The source added: “Ojukwu fought for Biafra and eventually went on exile. So I strongly believe Nnamdi Kanu has done the same. Kanu cannot remain in this country, after being declared as a terrorist. Never, he has to run.”
Nnamdi Kanu’s younger brother, who is known as ‘Fine Boy’, has refused to speak on the movements of his brother.
The last time Kanu was seen in public was on Monday, when he addressed some groups that came to his residence, after Sunday’s clash between Soldiers and some IPOB members.
He later drove off for what IPOB described as an “official assignment”. On his way, his convoy was allegedly attacked at a Military checkpoint at Ubakala in Umuahia South Local Government Area.
On Thursday, when the Soldiers returned to Kanu’s residence, they fired shots at different directions, sparking tension.
