Anwulika Udanoh’s marriage to her Canadian spouse, David Bobbitt, ended unexpectedly barely two months after their wedding images were posted on Facebook.
According to David, tensions rose when Anwulika went out dancing with her relatives and friends one night and did not come home until 3 a.m. David was worried about her late return and questioned her, claiming that as a married lady, she should not have been out so late. However, Anwulika viewed his worries as controlling, resulting in a violent dispute.
Following the event, David said that Anwulika treated him with growing contempt, straining their relationship.
David, who has proclaimed his love for Nigeria and its people, admits that he may not have spent enough time getting to know Anwulika before they were married. He is saddened and said that Anwulika has never ”apologized for her acts, leaving him unable to bear the continued disrespect.”
The former couple, whose marriage lasted just two months, has acknowledged that they are now split, bringing an abrupt and terrible end to their short relationship. The announcement has caused heated debate on social media, where their wedding was previously welcomed with delight.
