Wike's International Achievement Sets New Historical Benchmark

Alhaji Musa Saidu, a prominent Arewa figure in the southern area, has stated that he disagrees with anyone who criticizes Chief Nyesom Wike, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), on the basis of his religious affiliation alone.

Responding to remarks and acts of some extremist Muslims against the minister, Saidu underlined that Abuja is a federal capital territory and that ministers can be nominated from any religious background.

He went on to say that it is improper for anyone to bring up religion when talking about the choice of the FCT Minister.

Additionally, Saidu cautioned religious leaders against trying to use religion as a wedge in certain political disputes, emphasizing that doing so could cause the system to become too heated.

Saidu praised Cross Rivers State Governor Bassey Otu for giving ten million naira to the Hausa and Fulani victims of the recent fire in the state’s Bogobori district, stating that such acts foster peaceful coexistence and national unity.

“The Minister, Wike, did not insult Islam. If he does, it is even Christians that will take on him first, that I know. We want peace. Some of our northern leaders should be careful of how they try to lace their personal views with religion,” the Arewa leader said.
