Nigerian rapper Reminisce, whose real name is Remilekun Abdulkhalid Safaru, has called fame a tough addiction.
He mentioned that fame can be very intoxicating during an interview with Naija FM in Lagos.
“Fame is a hard drug. It’s very intoxicating,” Reminisce said.
The rapper explained that he deals with fame by considering people as colleagues rather than friends.
This attitude allows him to avoid having too many expectations from others.
In other news, Prominent activist Verydarkman has released a new audio recording of a call made by Bobrisky during his detention, in which he purportedly discusses bribing the EFCC to dismiss his money laundering charges.
Verydarkman shared this recording on his Instagram account, just days after generating significant online interest with a previous release.
The latest recording is said to have been made on May 16, 2024, a time when Bobrisky was reportedly incarcerated.
In the audio, Bobrisky confesses to a friend that he possessed his phone and wished to keep this information confidential.
He disclosed that the EFCC had been investigating him, including his financial activities and bank accounts, and that he had to pay a sum of money to have the money laundering charges dropped.
Additionally, Verydarkman highlighted that Bobrisky mentioned in the recording that his bank account had been frozen, which contradicts claims made by the EFCC during a session in the House of Representatives.
