A unexpected event involving singer Davido has surfaced online in the midst of the sombre candlelit ceremony intended to remember the late musician Mohbad. A viral video from the event shows Davido knocking over a fan’s phone while attempting to take pictures of the singer.
Mohbad’s candlelight ceremony had been developing for days, with fans and fellow artists looking forward to it.
Davido had earlier stated that he would attend the event. His attendance at the occasion demonstrated both his appreciation for the departed artist and his commitment to assisting his fellow musicians.
The candlelight parade began at 5 p.m. on Thursday, September 21st, at the Lekki Phase 1 gate, and ended at 8 p.m. at Muri Okunola Park.
Many people complimented Davido for his dedication to honoring Mohbad’s memory despite his hectic schedule. He demonstrated that he is not simply a recognized artist, but also a caring human being.
Even before the lighting ceremony, Davido’s compassion and support for Mohbad’s family were clear. The musician had given a large donation of 2 million naira to help the bereaved family in their time of need.
Davido recently offered a personal insight regarding his experiences since Mohbad’s death. He revealed that since the artist’s death, he has struggled to find calm and rest.
The viral video of Davido’s unintended phone flip at Mohbad’s lighting ceremony elicited strong emotions from internet users. While few have opposed him, many have defended him.
