Nigerians have expressed their reactions as Afrobeat musicians Tems and Rema are included in former American President Barack Obama’s 2024 summer playlist.
Each year, the 44th President of the United States has established a tradition of sharing a compilation of his favorite songs.
Over the years, numerous Afrobeat artists have been honored with a place on this esteemed list, and this year, only two artists have been recognized.
Tems earned her spot for her remarkable contribution to the track “Love Me Jeje,” which is featured on her recent album, “Born in the Wild.”
Similarly, Rema’s song “Yayo,” from his latest album “HEIS,” has also been selected for Barack Obama’s playlist.
