Father Mbaka Sent His Boys to Beat Us — BBC Journalists In Enugu.
The General Overseer of the Adoration Ministry Enugu, Nigeria (AMEN), Ejike Mbaka, has been heavily accused by some reporters of BBC of sending his boys to beat them up and seize their mobile phones and other media hardware.
BBC Igbo reports that, the reporters namely Nnamdi Agbaelo and Chioma Obianinwa were at the Adoration camp to do an interview with Reverend Father Mbaka when they were attacked.
Obianinwa, stated that the attack happened after 3 hours of waiting for the Catholic priest.
“We came to interview Father Mbaka in Adoration camp, but he told us to go and wait for him in his house, which is also in the camp.
“We waited for some hours before he came to see us. When he saw us, he started to show resentment, saying we had written bad news about him in the past.
“Father Mbaka then ordered his boys to take our cameras, cell phones and beat us,” BBC Igbo quoted Obianinwa as saying.
