A heartbreaking video of a father pursuing National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) operatives after his two-year-old son, Ivan Onose Omhonrina, was allegedly shot dead by a stray bullet has emerged.
The incident occurred during an NDLEA raid on a suspected drug den in Okpanam.
The heart-wrenching video footage captures the grieving father, Mr. Fidelis, weeping uncontrollably as he desperately chases the officers with his car.
The upsetting scene unfolds after the officers fire a shot that tragically kills Ivan while injuring his second son in the eye. According to eyewitnesses on the scene, the two brothers were inside their mother’s shop when the fatal shot was fired.
According to earlier reports by Gist Reel, the NDLEA officers had descended on the area to carry out the raid on the suspected drug joint. However, during the operation, a stray bullet struck the innocent young boy, robbing him of his life and leaving his family devastated.
The video, which has been widely shared on social media platforms, displays the NDLEA operatives driving away from the scene as the distraught father continues his pursuit, consumed by grief and anguish over the sudden loss of his beloved son.
