The leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, Nnamdi Kanu believes that for Nigeria to enjoy a successful democracy devoid of sentiments, the government should encourage referendum and not the idea of restructuring.
Kanu has remained a strong and notable figure amongst the Igbos in the Southeast, in their quest for an independent nation.
He noted that the Federal Government should stop deceiving the Southeast with a sweetly coated mandate all in the name of cajoling them. He promised again that there will be no Governorship election in Anambra and Imo State.
“Only a referendum can solve the problems of Nigeria. Power devolution is not the solution. Resource control is not our problem. What we need is Biafra. They are going about deceiving our people in the name of restructuring. I want to say it again that there will be no election in Anambra State. There will be no election in 2019 in Igbo land. And there will be no election in Imo state”.
