Seun Kuti, an Afrobeats artist, shared that his late father, Fela Anikulapo-Kuti, was a great dad.
He mentioned that he was spoiled as a kid.
The singer revealed this during his talk on the Zero Conditions podcast.
Seun remembered how his father treated him better than his siblings.
The singer mentioned that he was his dad’s favorite and described him as a great father, even if his siblings think otherwise.
The singer bragged that because he was so pampered growing up, he has never done any laundry in his life.
He said, “I won the daddy lottery. Fela Kuti is my favourite person in the world. If you asked my brothers they could say he’s a terrible dad but to me, he was an amazing father.
“You don’t know how spoilt I was growing up. Till now, I have never done laundry in my life. I don’t know how to wash anything. I’m not bragging.”
He also revealed that he joined his late dad’s band, Egypt 80, at the age of 8.
“I have been with Fela’s Egypt 80 band since I was 8 years old. So when Fela died my family asked me to continue with the band & keep all the money I make,” he said.
