In other news, Popular Nigerian crossdresser, Idris Okuneye, widely known as Bobrisky, has expressed solidarity with his fellow citizens following President Bola Tinubu’s recent declaration of a state of emergency in Rivers State.
Earlier reports revealed that President Tinubu made the announcement during a nationwide address on March 18, 2025. He cited escalating security concerns, destruction of oil pipelines by militants, and governance issues as reasons for the drastic decision.
As part of the emergency measures, Tinubu suspended all elected members of the Rivers State House of Assembly and appointed Vice Admiral Ibokette Ibas (Rtd) to oversee the state’s administration. He emphasized that the prolonged political dispute between Governor Siminalayi Fubara and the state legislature had weakened governance, depriving citizens of democratic benefits.
With rising tensions and increasing security threats, Tinubu explained that the intervention was essential to restore order and stability in the state.
Amid these developments, Bobrisky reassured his followers—whom he affectionately calls his “babies”—that he was aware of the ongoing crisis. Blending empathy with humor, he encouraged Nigerians to stay strong and remain hopeful despite the challenges.
He wrote:
“How is Nigeria treating you, my babies? I heard a lot is happening. Just keep holding on. Our country will be better one day.”
