The Nigerian government has approved the construction of a private airstrip at Canaanland, the headquarters of Living Faith Church Worldwide, also known as Winners Chapel, located in Ota, Ogun State. The church’s founder, Bishop David Oyedepo, announced the news during a special service, noting that the airstrip will enhance convenience for worshippers and guests, especially during large-scale events like the annual Shiloh convention.
The airstrip will allow direct travel access to Canaanland, eliminating the need to use major airports. Bishop Oyedepo emphasized the project’s importance, stating, “The Federal Government has approved an airstrip for Canaanland. You’re working in the center of God’s plan, so I won’t need to fly a helicopter to the airport. I can go from here to wherever I want. Members with their planes will have a place to land and park.”
Fully financed by the church, the project demonstrates Living Faith Church’s commitment to self-reliance and infrastructure development. While no timeline for the construction has been revealed, the church assured its members that the airstrip would meet all regulatory standards and safety measures.
