FG Budget N253m on foodstuffs, N260m electricity for State House

In the 2024 Appropriations Bill, the Federal Government has set aside N460,217,071 for the State House’s “Materials and Supplies.”

Foodstuffs and catering supplies will consume N253,277,638 of the total.

Among the other things under this subhead are foodstuffs, stationery, books, and newspapers.

The Federation’s Budget Office published the Appropriations Bill document on Wednesday, and it includes this information.

According to Gistlover, President Bola Tinubu delivered the budget to a joint meeting of the National Assembly on November 29.

The appropriations measure was dubbed the “Budget of Renewed Hope” by Tinubu.

The following excerpt from the paper details the Presidency’s allotment for the materials and supplies used by the State House:

Office stationeries/computer consumables –  N66,719,333

Books – N6,427,173

Newspapers – N21,296,484

Magazines & Periodicals – N3,379,524

Printing of Non-Security Documents – N24,303,149

Printing of Security Documents – N11,349,170

Drugs & Medical Supplies – N63,882,198

Uniforms & Other Clothing – N9,582,402

Food Stuff/Catering Materials Supplies – N253,277,638

Electricity bill

In the meantime, N50 million was set aside by the federal government for internet connection fees for the State House and N260.8 million for electrical bills.

Additional utility costs are N4.4 million for phone service, N30 for water, and N26 million for sewage.

N217 million was allocated for gasoline and lubricants at the State House, according to the 2024 budget.

Information reveals that N148 million is set aside for fuel for cars, N37 million for plants and generators, and N31 million for cooking gas.
